Finally, the day has come... It’s my birthday! Honestly, I don't usually celebrate my birthday. Why? Because it makes me feel that I am aging... I don't like the feeling of getting old! I enjoy the feeling of being young! And lucky me I look younger than my real age as people always tell me, ”You look like you’re 25!” Hehehee... ;) So don't ask about my age coz I will say, ”I’m twenty something!” :P
Yes, I don't do anything big for my birthday. Last few years I spent my birthday time alone, no celebration with people but myself. Few days ago, I bought myself gift. I bought dress and bag in gray color. Why is gray? Coz gray is the color of intellect, knowledge, and wisdom, but also representative of pessimism. So I think that color can tell what I want and what I feel about my life right now.
I usually stay up and waiting for midnight (12.00 AM) for welcoming my own birthday. I would probably cry when I remember the previous year. I did learn a little bit more of myself... So talking about year, I've made birthday resolution that I will follow through the next year. Resolution is a commitment to myself to kick bad habits and start my life anew. I prefer to make birthday resolution than new year resolution. New year is common to all but birthday is individual. But my resolution for both, since my birthday close to new year.
Resolutions for me it's like starting all over again. I observe that I was late to take action in my past years. I was late to reach my goals, late to get fun and also late to get married! hahahaa... Now I want to be strict on my time for myself. I’ll stop complaining about life and stop blaming myself. I’ll be cheerful wherever I am. I’ll be happy whatever I have got! I’ll enjoy my life more! I’ll throw negative people from my life, I deserve nice people and nice things! :) The most important is I MUST try hard to achieve my goals! In new year 2011 (also my new age), I want to finish writing my novel or writing more short stories and get my book published.
That’s my promise to myself. So let’s see how it works... Now it’s time for me to sing:
Happy birthday to me... Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday... Happy birthday
